Daylight Savings Time ends this week-end, November 2nd, at 2am.  Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday.

Downtown Halloween Bash Cornerstone will be setting up a booth outside of Cones and Coffee. Come dressed up as your favorite Super Hero and help us pass out treats and play games with the kids! Contact Brandy if you would like to volunteer to work a one hour shift. Hundreds of kids come by our booth each year so we could still use a lot of candy and help! Coat Give Away…

Cornerstone will be setting up a booth at the Galax Downtown Halloween Bash on Halloween Night. Come dressed as your favorite super hero and help set up, do games, or clean up! We need lots of volunteers for one hour shifts.  If you would like to volunteer, please let Brandy know. We also need lots of candy.  Please drop off all donations at the resource table.

This Saturday, October 18th, from 3-6pm at Cornerstone Community Church. Grilled BBQ chicken, drinks, and paper products will be provided.  Please bring a side dish and/or dessert to share. Children’s games will be from starting at 3:00pm. Dinner beginning at 5pm! If you have a guitar, mandolin, banjo, etc., we will have an open jam spot for those that like to play…

It’s that time of year when we are pulling out our coats and thinking we might need a new, bigger, or smaller one. Let’s help those in need. We are collecting gently used winter coats for our annual coat drive here at Cornerstone. All sizes are needed and appreciated. We especially need X-large and even larger for both men and women and children’s coats run out pretty…

Our next date to open the clothing closet is November 8th, time is TBD. We would like to add additional items to the closet that will be divided into zip loc bags and given out upon request. These include: personal hygiene kits (toothbrush, travel size toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc.) socks and underwear. These items will need to be purchased new and dropped…

Cornerstone Youth will be going to Blue Ridge Pumpkins on Sunday afternoon. We will leave Cornerstone after the second service (around 12:30). Please bring $5 for the Pumpkin Patch and money for lunch. Everyone will get a hayride to the corn maze, a turn at the corn gun, and a small pumpkin to take…
