Mission Trip Support

We have been blessed to have young adults travel around the world serving Christ. Our young adults understand the importance of the Great Commission and we want to give our church the opportunity to support their efforts. We will continually add new trips and information to this page, so please let us know about your upcoming trips.

More info coming soon on how to support our missionaries

Dany and Camden (Jordan) Di Gilio

Dany and Camden serve building up the body of Christ in rural areas of Mexico. They currently live in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas.

Dany grew up in a missionary home in Mexico. God put a burden in his heart for missionary work in Mexico at a young age. He studied at a Word of Life Bible Institute. He served under the same organization for seven years through tech support, multimedia, and directing the student ministries department. In 2017, Dany helped begin the ministry of Alcance (Reach).

Camden grew up in Virginia and her family attends here at Cornerstone. At 14 God called her to full-time service and He cultivated in her a love for foreign missions. She studied at a Word of Life Bible Institute and then went to Mexico for a cross-cultural internship in 2011, where she first met Dany. God lead her to serve in Mexico full-time. She graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor’s in Education. She’s served through teaching, Bible clubs, training for missionary interns, and student life staff at a Bible Institute.

Dany and Camden were married in 2019 and serve together in Alcance (Reach) ministries. They encourage a missionary vision for believers in the cities of Mexico by connecting them to believers in rural areas through mission trips involving evangelism, discipleship, and humanitarian projects. They also seek to minister to the lives and families of pastors and missionaries in Mexico by serving them through hospitality and helping connect them to Christian counselors in difficult times.

Heath Snyder

Chi Alpha Campus Missionary in Training for Virginia Tech

I am serving in a yearlong introductory internship designed to equip campus missionaries. I will be making disciples on the Virginia Tech Campus, leading Bible studies, organizing and running outreach events, and working over 40 hours a week to see the lives of students changed.

I will also be going through an intense academic portion to further develop the skills that I have as well as develop new ones. There will be “labs” on preaching, discipleship, and other skills needed as a campus missionary.

I will be taking classes to work towards my ordination credentials. There will be several theology classes that I will be taking in preparation for getting these credentials completed.

I felt the call to vocational ministry when I was 18 and have been searching for what that means for me long term. As Don Gillette said, “The question never is “Do I go?”, but “Do I stay?”” I have been “going” to things the Lord has placed on my heart such as mission trips, Camp Dickenson, and helping lead the youth at Cornerstone. With Chi Alpha, I very clearly heard the Lord to say this is where I am staying.

Justin Patton

I grew up in Galax, VA and then went to Concord University in Athens, WV where I majored in Music Education. After graduating, I spent two years interning with the high school ministry of Cru in Philadelphia, PA. I then studied at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. While at seminary. I then transitioned to work with Cru’s ministry to international students called Bridges International at N.C. State University for my last two years of seminary. To the right, you can see my beautiful wife Brye!  She has been a regular volunteer with Bridges for a while and we found each other while serving the Lord together at NC State.

I am with the Bridges International team at NC State University in Raleigh, NC.  I primarily work with international students by welcoming them to the US, and helping them adjust to life here in overcoming the many hurdles that come along with moving to a new country.  We desire to introduce these students to Christ, build them in their faith, and send them back to their home countries as influencers who will impact the world for Christ!

I am raising up a team of ministry partners who share the vision I have and see the strategic value of investing in the lives of these international students. I am asking this team to support me prayerfully and financially so that I can focus my time and energy on the ministry God has given me the privilege to be part of.
