This week, we continue our new series called Walking With Jesus – Lessons from the Holy Land. After two recent trips to Israel, Pastor Mike wants to share what he learned during his travels. The Holy Land brings the Bible to life as you see the actual places where Jesus walked and taught.
Jesus was busy, but never in a hurry. He always made time to pray. The Gospels record 33 instances when Jesus prayed. His ministry began with prayer and ended with prayer. Christ also established several rhythms of prayer: often He would pray in the morning, and sometimes all night long. If Jesus, the perfect Son of God, so prioritized prayer, how much more should we? Today we learn from Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.
