God’s Pit Crew has responded to several disasters this year which has depleted their relief supplies at their warehouse. They need our help to replenish their warehouse so they will be ready to respond to the next need.
A Blessing Bucket Drive has been organized to help meet this need and we have the opportunity to help. You can volunteer to help at collection points, assemble the buckets, or just donate financially.
Assist with collection of supplies at the donation sites:
When: Two Fridays, August 7 and August 14 from 11am – 7pm
Two Saturdays, August 8 and August 15 from 10am – 6pm
Where: Galax Walmart parking lot AND Hillsville CVS/Super Dollar parking lot both week-ends
Count and shop for supplies:
Count: Two Mondays, August 10 and August 17, beginning at 6pm
Where: Laurel Fire Department, off Airport Road on Hanger Road
Shop: Two Tuesdays, August 11 and August 18, time and place to be announced
Give a monetary donation: Cash or check made payable to First Baptist Hillsville (to be used to buy supplies) OR to God’s Pit Crew (to be used for the purchase of a bucket and transportation of the buckets). Empty bucket = $5; full bucket = $35
Assist with the assembly of the buckets:
When and Where: Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 21, 7pm at the Laurel Fire Dept.
