Bulletin Announcements for Sunday, July 26, 2015

Here are the bulletin announcements for Sunday, July 26, 2015

There will be no youth meeting this evening. They will resume in the fall.

The Clothes Closet will be open on Saturday, August 15, from 8-10:30am and is in need of gently used children’s clothing of all sizes. We have also had numerous requests for personal hygiene items. Also, our annual Back to School event will be August 17th. We will be accepting donations of supplies to distribute to area schools (not to be given out directly.) Totes are set up in the cafe to collect hygiene and school items. Please take any clothing donation directly to the Clothes Closet downstairs.

Our Free Community Meal is this Wednesday, July 29th. We will be having nachos with all the toppings and we still need much help! Please consider making a donation of either food or time. You can sign up at the Resource Table or on our website. For questions, please contact Nicole at 276-237-2055.

Our annual church picnic and baptism service is scheduled for next Sunday evening, August 2, at Camp Dickenson from 5-9pm in Fries. This has always been a highly attended celebration event! Come enjoy great fellowship and food and encourage those who will be baptized! We ask every family to please bring a main dish and either a side dish or dessert. Please let us know if you are interested in being baptized at this service.

Cornerstone is trying something new! Many people enjoy having a donut or muffin on Sunday morning and usually someone within our church family brings some to share. In an attempt to make it easier on everyone, we are placing a sign up sheet in the cafe for people to sign up to bring items. If you enjoy a donut on Sunday mornings, please consider signing up. There are sign up sheets thru the month of August.

God’s Pit Crew is in need of replenshing their relief supplies at their warehouse. A Blessing Bucket Drive has been organized and we have the opportunity to help replenish their warehouse. You can volunteer to help at collection points, assemble the buckets, or just donate financially. The dates for all the collecting events, along with a shopping list, can be found on our website and also on a flyer at the Resource Table.

Willing Partners is collecting peanut butter for Feeding America-SWVA’s “Peanut Butter from Heaven” drive. Please consider donating a jar of peanut butter and bringing it to church NO LATER THAN THIS FRIDAY! We will take all jars to Willing Partners.
