Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) will host a Health Fair for the community on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Galax Public Library located at 610 West Stuart Drive. Free screenings will be offered to the public including blood sugar, blood pressure and weight.
TCRH health professionals will be available including a Certified Diabetic Educator and a Registered Dietitian, as well as representatives from Physical Therapy and Galax Family Care, along with the Free Clinic of the Twin Counties.
Informational booths will be provided on Display Cooking, Breast Health, Colon Cancer Prevention and more.
The Health Fair is sponsored by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Office of Rural Health Policy and the Avon Foundation for Women.
