Ecclesiastes – Life is a Gift

Ecclesiastes – Life is a Gift

Thanks for joining us online at Cornerstone! We are in a series called Chasing the Wind and we are learning how the book of Ecclesiastes still speaks to our struggles today. What is the purpose of life? Why are we here? Is there more to this life than just going through the same routine day after day? In Ecclesiastes, we learn that life is like a vapor and that our lives are about eternity. Since God is the one who gives ultimate meaning in life, we find our meaning in Him.

Today, we study Ecclesiastes chapters 11 and 12. As Solomon nears the end of his book, he wants to go back and talk to those who are younger. He wants to impart his wisdom to those who come after him. He wants to tell us how to remember our youth, and to rejoice about our everyday life. Life truly is a gift, and we must learn to enjoy each and every day because it is a gift from God.
