Many of you know the Brown family and the struggles they are facing as 9 year old Max is battling Leukemia for the second time. Max was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago and as a church family, we prayed for him and followed his journey. Just before the New Year Max was admitted to the hospital to battle this awful disease again. He is currently still at Brenner’s Children’s Hospital. His mom, Emily is by his side. His dad, Brad, and sister Madalyn are in Galax. We want to be a blessing to their family. Here is what we are doing and how you can help.
- We will be giving the Brown family grocery cards for Brad and Madalyn at home and restaurant cards and a gift basket for Emily as she is staying at the hospital with Max. These gifts are made possible because of our Engage Fund. If you want to give money to this cause you can give directly to the Engage Fund.
- We want to do more than support them financially. If you would like to include a card or verse of encouragement for Max or his family you can bring it to church THIS SUNDAY and we will add it to the gifts. Max has been loving his “fan mail”.
- Pray for Max’s healing and for strength for him and his family.
