It’s a special weekend for Cornerstone! Today, we celebrate our 20 year anniversary as a church. In June of 2004, Cornerstone held its first service in Felts Park. Today, we are having one combined worship service in Felts Park at 11am. For our online viewers, we have filmed a special message today. We have been in a sermon series on the first three chapters of the mysterious book of the Bible, Revelation. Revelation is a letter addressed not to an individual but to seven church communities. Each letter first tells the church who Jesus is and how the hearers should live in light of that identity. The messages to the seven churches remain crucial and relevant for us today, and there is something we can learn from each church.
But what would Jesus say to us today at Cornerstone? While we don’t presume to speak for Jesus, there are things that we would like to hear. Today, we look back at how God has moved and worked through our church, and we look forward to the future.
