Christmas Update

We hope you have been enjoying our Christmas Special! We had a lot of fun getting everything together for this 4-part online event. Today is our final day, so be sure to tune in and watch at noon or 7pm. If you have missed any of the services, you can go back and watch on Facebook or on our website at mycornerstone.org

Here are a few quick announcements we want to share.

Join Us for Communion During Part 4 today

At the end of the service today, we will celebrate communion together as a church family. Go ahead and get together juice and bread and join us! Mike will lead everyone through the Christmas story and end up at the cross, where we celebrate the Prince of Peace who died for our sins. Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is a time for believers to reflect and remember what Christ has done for us as we look forward to His return.

We encourage you to even consider making your own communion bread. It’s a great way to get the family involved and explain the significance of what we are doing. In fact, we prepared a video with instructions showing you how. If you want to find out more, check out this link for instructions.

No In-Person Service This Week

We have also made the decision to stay online for at least one more week. Our local healthcare workers are overwhelmed right now, and with the many families gathering, traveling, and quarantined right now, we decided to meet online. This Sunday the Elders will all be sharing about our church and what we have learned this year. We have learned that Cornerstone is a strong church that is generous and caring. We have learned that together we can accomplish far more than we ever realized. So join us at 9:15 or 11am, and we’ll again share a 7pm replay of the service.

Our Cornerstone Christmas Offering

It’s not too late to contribute to our special year-end offering. Click here for more information. You can give online at our website or by using the Church Center App. You can also mail any gifts for this or for our church to PO Box 757, Galax, VA 24333. Remember that any gifts mailed will need to be postmarked before the end of the year to be included with your 2020 contribution statements.
