Help with Our Thanksgiving Free Community Meal

Here is an explanation of how you can help us with our Thanksgiving community meal. We will be doing a drive-through meal again. And we have included a cooking video to show you how to do it! We are asking for turkey casseroles 🦃

You can sign up to let us know you will be making a casserole at the perfect potluck. We will be purchasing all of the side items to go with the casserole.

Here is how to make a casserole

For 1 casserole

  • About 1.5 to 2 pounds of cooked turkey ( from cooked turkey breast or whole cooked turkey)
  • I used a boneless turkey breast. They cook faster and are a little easier to slice.
  • 2 cans of turkey gravy
  • 2 1/2 – 3 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 2/3 package of herb stuffing (about 10 cups) you could use all of the stuffing but it felt like too much for my amount of turkey
  • 3 Tablespoons of butter

Chop the turkey into large bite-size chunks. I sliced it then cut the slices into thirds. In a large bowl, add chopped turkey, 1 bag of stuffing, chicken broth, and gravy. Mix well adding more stuffing, gravy, and broth to be the consistency moist but not runny. Use butter to grease the pan. Melt the rest of the butter. Sprinkle some extra stuffing on top of the casserole, pour butter over the stuffing. Freeze or refrigerate until ready to bake. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes until warm through and lightly crunchy on top. If the cost of making the casserole is more than your budget allows, we have some $10 gift cards to help you offset the cost of the casserole. Just let Jennifer Morris know and she will get the gift card to you.
