Announcements for the Weekend of March 29th

One Online Service This Weekend

We hope you enjoyed the online service last week. It was awesome seeing so many people interact and comment during the service. We will continue meeting online this weekend at Cornerstone at 10am on Facebook, and we have some exciting new ways to interact this weekend. We will have our praise team lead worship and Mike will be sharing the message. The service will remain online only for the foreseeable future or until we receive new guidance and recommendations.

As always, the video will remain on Facebook for viewing later in the week, and we will also add the sermon to our website. Last week, Facebook struggled with so many churches livestreaming on Sunday morning. Our hope is that the experience will be much better this week. If you do run into problems, you can reload our Facebook page or watch later in the day.

And remember, if you don’t have Facebook, you can go to mycornerstone.freeonlinechurch.com/live to watch the service online.

Keep Your Cornerstone Kids Connected to Church

We have several ways for your children to stay connected. You can like our Cornerstone Kids Facebook Page to see devotions and pictures throughout the week. You can also join our remind text messaging group.  To join, just text @ckidsgalax to the number 81010.  You can also download the Remind app on your phone.

Cornerstone Student Ministries Update

The best way for you to keep up with other Cornerstone youth is to watch for Instagram Posts and Facebook Posts on our Cornerstone Student Ministries Group. Please feel free to post on these and encourage each other. We had a great time on a Zoom meeting last Sunday night. Look for more of those to come as well as encouragements throughout the week on social media.

Now is the Perfect Time to signup for Rightnow Media

Rightnow Media is our online Bible study library. Think of it as a Netflix for Bible Studies and Children’s videos. You can download the app on your phone, tablet, AppleTV, Roku, or Chromecast.  You can also watch online through your web browser. You can signup by clicking here.  Rightnow Media also has a great selection of children’s videos for your kids to watch at home.

Online Giving

During a time like this when we aren’t meeting, we want to encourage you to continue to support the work and ministry of your local church. Here at Cornerstone, we are still working and moving forward to share the Gospel with this community. Just this week, we have been able to help support several local ministries and needs. You can give online on our website, or you can give using the Tithely mobile app.

You can also give by mailing your check to Cornerstone at PO Box 757, Galax, VA 24333. We appreciate your continued support. Our giving has actually been up the last two weeks, and we are blessed to be part of such a generous church.

Get Connected Through MYCORNERSTONE.FYI

Our main church website is mycornerstone.org, and you can use it to keep up to date with our announcements, events, sermons, and more.  But we also have another site that we use to stay connected. MYCORNERSTONE.FYI is your central hub that you can use to share prayer requests, sign up for LifeGroups or upcoming events, give online, and sign up for Rightnow Media. We have just relaunched this site to make it easier to use, so check it out.

Finally, Remember You Can Connect at Cornerstone

We have a new Connect at Cornerstone Facebook Group that we can use throughout the week, and we also have a new podcast. You can search Cornerstone Galax in your podcast app and find our sermon podcast or our connect podcast.  Both podcasts are available on Apple and Spotify. You can also go to our website to listen or watch the latest episode.  We will be using these groups and podcasts to share opportunities to serve over these next few weeks.

I want to encourage you to not grow weary! God will carry us through this time, and I believe we will be stronger when we start meeting in person. God Bless you all.

Pastor Mike
