Acoustic Christmas: This Sunday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 pm! We invite you to a special free Christmas concert for the community. Luke Morris and Madison Elmore will be sharing acoustic Christmas favorites. We even have a fun way for Cornerstone Kids to participate, so come celebrate with us!
Gift Card Drive: Cornerstone has several families who’ve opened up their homes for Foster Care to some very special children and teens and we want to help them. There is a collection box located at our resource desk to collect gift cards for these families. You can pick up gift cards for local stores to help these families with everyday expenses and with providing Christmas to their expanded families. This Sunday is the final opportunity for those gift cards to be dropped off.
December Free Community Meal: New Date! Due to Christmas we will be having the free community meal on Thursday, December 26. This month we will be having sub sandwiches, chips and dessert. You can sign up to help at the information table or online at mycornerstone.fyi
Year End Gifts to Cornerstone: Year-end gifts to Cornerstone must be in our office or postmarked by December 31 in order to be included on your 2019 Giving Statement. The date on the check is not a determining factor.
DID YOU KNOW? 2019 Christmas Offering
Each year Cornerstone has made it our mission to honor the gift God gave us in the birth of Jesus by beginning our Christmas gift-giving with a gift to Him. In the past, we have used this offering to support local ministries, to help us purchase our building, and to establish our Engage Fund which we use for local and international missions throughout the year.
Since 2011, we have collected over $150,000 through our Christmas Offering!!!! Our normal missions giving as part of our budget has been over $240,000 during that same time period. This year, the first $8000 of our Christmas Offering is going to be used to provide funding for our Engage Fund.
To give to this year’s Christmas offering, you can use the special Christmas Offering envelopes at church, or you can give online. You can also give by using the Tithely mobile app and choosing Cornerstone Community Church in Galax. Just select the Christmas Offering and choose your amount. It’s that easy!
