Sunday, March 3, marks the last day for those that are interested in going with us to Nicaragua this summer (June 29-July 6) to get their deposits in to the church so we can purchase the airline tickets. We have had a few of our team who have had trouble raising the needed funds this early, but it’s necessary to get the plane tickets further in advance since there are fewer flights in and out of Nicaragua than in the past.
With that in mind, we are putting this request out there to anyone who would consider sponsoring one of our missionaries. The cost for the trip for each person is approximately $1500, with the first half of $750 due this Sunday. The list below are those from Cornerstone who have signed up (so far) to go. If you would be willing to sponsor them, individually or as a group, just put your donation in an offering envelope, indicate NICA TRIP on the outside of the envelope, put the name of the missionary you would like the donation to go towards (if appropriate), and drop it in one of the offering boxes this Sunday. You can also donate online by going to https://mycornerstone.org/online-giving/ – choose “Mission Trip Support” from the “Give To” drop-down list, and then indicate in the “Note/Memo” field if you want your donation to go towards a specific team member. This is a great way for those that can’t go on the trip this summer to still participate by helping someone else help someone else!
