Winter Lifegroups at Cornerstone

Help Wanted: New Lifegroups, Lifegroup Leaders, and Hosts

Happy New Year! As we move into 2018, we are nearly ready to begin our Lifegroup Winter Semester. Winter Semester groups typically start sometime between end-of-January to mid-February (leader’s choice). In addition to the several ongoing Lifegroups at Cornerstone, we feel there is a still a need for more groups to help our newcomers get connected; especially groups with a focus on Service Work, Marriage and/or Family, Discipleship, and Stewardship (financial management). We also are open to a new type of Lifegroup for Cornerstone – a “fellowship” group that focuses less on a particular line of study, and more on just getting together for fellowship, sharing a meal or snacks, and possibly having just a very short lesson or study each week.

We also have a pressing need for facilitators for these new Lifegroups and/or location “hosts”. There is no experience necessary – if you have never lead a group at CCC, we will help you get started with some basic training and as necessary, we will continue to support you as you move through your curriculum. Speaking of curriculum, we can help you choose curriculum or even provide it depending on the need. These groups can be home-based or we can help you find a location that works for your group. Not sure you can be there for every weekly meeting? We do encourage sharing of responsibilities and tasks with others whenever possible and appropriate. We can even help you organize childcare for your group which will be paid for by the church.

We will be starting up these new groups soon, so please let Mike Morris or Larry VanHoose know if you can lead or host a group as soon as possible – thank you for your help and support of this important ministry!
