We are excited about our 2016 Cornerstone Christmas Offering. God has blessed Cornerstone this year with the purchase of our downtown facility. Many of you gave generously to help us with our down payment and we want to thank you for your generosity. We are pleased to announce that we have closed on the loan and we are now the owners of our building and parking lot at 227 South Main Street.
We have also been blessed to be able to continue ministry work in our community and around the world. In 2016, we budgeted $27,000 for missions which supports community ministries, community benevolence, disaster relief, international missions and more. We were also able to use over $4000 from our Engage Missions Fund to support special mission opportunities and projects.
Because of your generosity this year, we are able to give an additional $7500 beyond what we have already spent, which will go to support local ministries. That means that we will give over $38,000 for missions this year!! We thank God for your generosity and your faithfulness.
Our 2016 Christmas Offering
As the end of each year, we collect a special love offering. A love offering is a special offering that is above and beyond your normal giving to the church. Our Christmas offering this year will go to expand our ministry efforts at Cornerstone. After several years of tight budgeting in preparation for the purchase of our facility, we have several ministry needs that need to be addressed. We also want to finish the current year strong so that we can continue doing the ministry and work that God has called us to do. It is an exciting time at Cornerstone as we continue to equip disciples who engage our community and world for Christ. We ask that you prayerfully consider how you can support the work and ministry of Cornerstone. Our church is making a huge difference here in Galax and around the world.
