Next Sunday night, on February 28th, we will start a new study on how to think, act, and be like Jesus. Our Cornerstone leadership is excited about this study because we truly believe it can transform your life. We will meet from 6:30 to 8pm each Sunday in the Cornerstone Community Room. Each week, we will watch a short 15 minute video and then discuss how it applies to our lives today.
The Christian life is not primarily an intellectual pursuit; nor is it simply about doing good or engaging in spiritual activity. The Christian life is about who you are becoming for the sake of others. Since Jesus came from heaven to represent us, he also modeled for us the life we were created to live.
Grounded in Scripture, Believe is a spiritual growth experience that helps Christians of all ages think, act, and be more like Jesus. Through this study which we will cover over the next three LifeGroup semesters we will learn:
- 10 Key Beliefs of the Christian Faith
- 10 Key Practices of a Jesus-follower
- 10 Key Virtues of a Person Who is Becoming More Like Jesus
So we must begin by asking, “What are the key beliefs of Christianity that, when embraced in the mind and the heart, create true change in our individual lives, in the church, and in the world?
This semester, we will be focusing on the 10 key beliefs of the Christian Faith. Our Cornerstone Elders will be teaching this study. BELIEVE has value for both new believers and long-time Christians. Even a mature Christian will make discoveries in terms of putting together a holistic theology of how to live the Christian life. The new believer can have the intimidation-factor of the Bible removed because BELIEVE teaches theological concepts by using stories from the Bible.
If you struggle to live your beliefs, then you don’t really believe them.
