Cornerstone Kids and Youth are Making a Difference

It’s encouraging to see our youth and children at Cornerstone serve and share. Here are a few examples from the past month on how our Cornerstone Kids are making a difference around the world.

For her eleventh birthday, Mia collected $300 for Water Missions.  Mia didn’t want presents, she wanted to make a difference. Several years ago, she heard about the need for clean water. She just couldn’t understand how some people in our world don’t have access to clean water, so she decided to be the person that changes the world.  She has collected thousands of dollars over the last few years to support the ministry and work of Water Missions, so that people can have their spiritual and physical needs met in the name of Christ.

Ava traveled to Nicaragua on one of our Cornerstone Mission trips, so she used her tenth birthday as an opportunity to raise money to help feed a village in Nicaragua through the ministry of Because We Care.  She raised $200 which will feed 750 people in Nicaragua! She also used her birthday party as an opportunity to gather friends and family to go Christmas Caroling and spread the joy of Christ.

For her seventeenth birthday party, Ally organized and planned a shoebox packing party for Operation Christmas Child.  She was able to pack over 50 shoeboxes that will be sent around the world. Ally was able to pray over the boxes and deliver them to the processing center where she has volunteered numerous times.

Emma has used her love of writing to start a blog for youth. She has already had two articles published on major youth blogs and she is active in mentoring and teaching our younger youth and children at Cornerstone.

These are just a few of the examples we see every month at Cornerstone. One of our core values is Opportunity: We really do believe in the next generation and we want to provide them the teaching and resources they need to change the world for Christ.
