Christmas Services
This Sunday we will be having our family Christmas services at Cornerstone. Each year, we have a special celebration on the Sunday before Christmas. All the Cornerstone Kids stay upstairs with their families for this special service. We sing Christmas carols, we have a special Children’s lesson, and we will have a short message about celebration and worship at Christmas. Invite your friends and join us for either our 9:15 or 11am Service.
Christmas Eve Communion Service
On Thursday night for Christmas Eve, we will open the church from 5 to 7pm for a family communion service. You can stop by at any time. We will have interactive stations set up to walk through the life of Christ. An elder will be present at the church the entire time if you need any help.
Christmas Offering
We shared during week 2 of our Celebrate series about our plans for our Christmas offering this year. If you missed the service, we encourage you to watch or listen to the message. After a multi-year process of study and prayer, the elders at Cornerstone are moving forward to purchase our current facility in downtown Galax. By purchasing instead of renting, we can lower our monthly payment and free up more resources for ministry. We also feel that we can quickly pay off the facility with your support. Our yearly Christmas offering will go towards our Facility Fund to help pay down the amount of the building.
We are excited about what God is doing through Cornerstone. Once the building is paid off, we will be able to expand and possibly build a family center or second worship location on our church property. You can give at Cornerstone through the end of the year by placing your offering in our special Christmas Offering envelope, or you can designate your gift and give online.
It’s an exciting time of the year as we celebrate the birth of Christ.
