Say Yes to the Dress
There are lots of ways that you can be a part of our Say Yes to the Dress Outreach.
1. Donate dresses. We need prom style dresses for all sizes. We usually have a shortage of size 14 and up dresses. Encourage people you know that have dresses to donate them. If you like to shop you can go online or to the mall and look for good deals on dresses.
2. Donate your time. We need help sorting dresses on Wednesday night, March 25th, Thursday night March 26th and with the event on March 27th. During the event we need people to keep the snacks stocked and help the girls find dresses.
3. Donate money or snacks. We give each girl that is attending prom a gift bag with a book, a Lifebook New Testament and other prom goodies. The cost of each bag is about $6. If you would like to sponsor a bag or a lot of bags you can make a donation. We also need snacks, sweets and drinks.
4. Donate prizes for our giveaway. We take the registration card for each girl that attends and draw them out for prizes. Ask around to your friends or purchase a prize. Hair appointments, tanning visits, manicures and pedicures, dinner for two, all make great prizes.
Thanks for your help. I wish all of you could see the look of excitement on each girl’s face as they find a dress for prom. Many of them could not afford to go to prom without this event. We want each girl to feel special and beautiful and most of all to feel the love of Jesus.
